Monday, 11th May. ENGLISH. Writing: My time capsule.


Good morning everyone!

 Today you have to write a letter to yourself!

 The objective of the letter is to read it in the future and rediscover how you felt during the Covid-19 lockdown.

To do it, please include all the information in the poster:



Start by writing:
  • The date
  • Dear+your name
  • How you are feeling.

Then explain:
  • What you are doing at home 
  • Mention special occasions you have lived during the lockdown (for example birthdays)
  • Talk about your community: people who gave you support during this time
  • Include a drawing (colour it)
  • Your handprints in one page (you will compare it with your handprint in the future)
  • Finally, interview someone: ask questions about how he/she has felt.
STRUCTURE: at least three paragraphs 
Nº OF WORDS: 150-250 (yes! more than before because you have to include an interview)
DEADLINE: May 18 -upload it in Teams or send an email if you are not in Teams yet - you can send a Word Document or a picture.

    Hi Barbara, i.don,t understand the activity. Do we have to do it in one or in several pages? Do we have to do a poster? The interview is part of the writing?

      I think in one is going to be really difficult, you need to do several things, apart from the letter you have to include the interview, the drawing and your handprints.
      In different pages it is ok.

To help you, the teacher Bárbara has recorded a video from her kitchen to show you how electrical energy is transformed into other types of energy  in some appliances (ceramic cooktop or television). Hello everyone! Today we start the last unit of English: Unit 9 "Manners" Do you know the meaning of this word? According to the Cambridge Dictionary: Manners : ways of behaving toward people, especially ways that are socially correct and show respect for their comforts and their feelings. There are good and bad manners... 1) First, you need your English book: Go to page 174. Read and understand the whole page. Then, leave a comment below: let us know one example of bad manners and one of good manners you had read in this page. Go to page 175. Do the exercises 1, 2 and 3. 2) When you finish these two pages, you need to go to Travelers and do the assignments planned for today.
