Thursday, 7th May. ENGLISH: Phonics!
Hello, everybody!!
Today we are having a phonics session. You need your English book and also, open Travelers in your browser. We have already sent you the Travelers assignment that belongs to the two pages of this unit about Phonics.
- First, go to page 168. Read and understand the whole page and try to memorise the rule about when you need to double the final consonant.
- Now, listen to Olivia's audio. Olivia has prepared a special recording for you to help you understand and practise the gerund (verbs ending in -ing) pronunciation and its writing. Here you have the video, listen to it.
- Go to page 169 and do exercise 20. You need to add -ing at the end of these verbs and with the help of the rule identify when doubling the last consonant.
- If you don't understand any new word of these pages you can search for them on the web Cambridge dictionary:
